Note · TikTok One & UGC

In UGC, it’s the creator that lands — not the concept

We can spend a week polishing a concept: the angle, the hook, the storyline. Then the same brief goes to five creators — and one video clearly outperforms the rest.

Same concept. Same script. Different person.

Working in TikTok One (TTO) on UGC for fintech, I see it all the time: viewers don’t stop for an idea. They stop for someone they believe.

So I’ve changed how I work:

  1. Pick creators early — and shape the concept around how they naturally talk.
  2. Brief the message and the must-haves, not every line.
  3. Test one concept with several creators before calling it a winner or a flop.
  4. When a creator lands, build the next briefs around them.
The concept opens the door. The creator is the one who walks in.
