TikTok One: a brief gets you the first video, recognition gets you the next ten

The most underrated lever in TikTok One isn’t the brief. It’s what happens after the creator delivers.

When a creator sees that the brand actually picked their video and is running it, something changes. The next video comes faster. The hook is sharper. They start asking what worked — and shooting more of it.

Working in TikTok One (TTO) on UGC for fintech, I’ve seen this again and again: creators don’t just want payment, they want proof that their work mattered.

So I treat it as part of the process:

  1. Tell creators which video was picked — and why.
  2. Give feedback on the hook and delivery, not just “approved”.
  3. Come back to the creators who delivered with a new brief first.
  4. Build a small pool of repeat creators who already know the product.

The result: fewer revisions, better first drafts, and creators who start thinking like part of the team, not like vendors.

A brief gets you the first video. Recognition gets you the next ten.
